Guitar-Antics joins up with “Guitars Not Guns”

I (RAT of Guitar-Antics) was recently contacted by Ray Nelson gng logo founder of “Guitars Not Guns” to help start a new chapter in the East Tennessee area! What is GNG you ask ? It is a federally exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that provides guitars and lessons to foster children and other youth at risk, regardless of ability to pay. Gibson recently became one of the official sponsors and donated 10 new guitars to the latest chapter just started in Franklin, TN. (near Nashville). Hopefully we will have the East TN chapter up and ready for free lessons very soon. I have been asked to head a Board of Directors or at least sit on an Advisory Board that will oversee this chapter. I am not sure what my “free time” schedule will allow me to do, but I am very excited about being a part of this very worthy cause and look forward to helping in any way I can esp. with some free guitar lessons ! It’s finally here, after all this time and effort, the new version of ! NO more Mambo, no more Content Management Systems, just all handcoding in xhtml strict (validated I might add) by yours truly ! It has been a long time in the process and I would like to thank all the wonderful people in the Lunarforums community who helped to make this possible, as I could not have learned all this so quickly without them. Lunarpages is by far the best webhost in the business, and I even recently became employed by them as a remote CSR / paid forum moderator ! Enjoy and feel free to provide feedback either here or via the G-A forums as I am always looking for ways to improve things ! RAT
